Precautions for processing and using fluorocarbon aluminum sheets
Thanks to its excellent weather resistance, fluorocarbon aluminum panels are widely used in building exterior curtain walls. Improper handling during storage, handling, and grooving can easily damage the coating and affect the quality of the finished product.
For storage of panels, they need to be placed in a dry, ventilated warehouse, with a flat floor and stacked panels flat. The stacking height should not be too high; stepping on or hitting the boards is strictly prohibited to prevent surface deformation or coating damage or peeling. Store in a damp environment to avoid water accumulation and prevent moisture and oxidation at the edges of the panels.
Plate handling is a crucial step. When handling a whole piece of fluorocarbon aluminum panel, multiple people are required to lift all four sides simultaneously; dragging or pushing from one end is strictly prohibited. Dragging will directly scratch the surface fluorocarbon coating, causing irreversible scratches. Wear protective gloves whenever possible during handling to avoid oil stains on the board surface.
For the slotting machining stage, either a slotting machine or a gong machine is used. The groove depth must be controlled, not cutting through the aluminum panel substrate, and a certain thickness of aluminum layer should be retained to ensure strength at the bending position. Aluminum shavings generated at the grooved areas should be cleaned promptly to prevent scratching the panel surface. Bending operation requires uniform force to prevent bending cracks.
After processing, do not remove the protective film on the board surface before application. During installation, avoid striking the panel surface with sharp hard objects. After installation is complete and the dust from on-site construction is cleared, remove the protective film. Standardized processing and storage operations are essential to ensure the integrity of the fluorocarbon aluminum panel's appearance and extend the curtain wall's service life.
